Eagle Scout Project

A leadership journey in service to the community

Eagle Scout Project

Project Overview

To earn my Eagle Scout rank, I planned, organized, and executed a service project to benefit my local area. My project was the construction and installation of two cedar planter boxes outside an independent senior living community in Cedar Park, Texas. Hundreds of hours of total planning and execution went into this project.

Planning Phase

Project Creation and Planning

Planning for this project began in the mid to late summer of 2021. During this phase, I considered a number of project ideas and upon choosing one, extensively planned out the details through project proposals and project plans.

Approval

Project Approval

After formal review of my project plan, including material requirements, financial costs, and logistical details, I received formal approval in late October 2021 to begin my project.

Execution

Project Execution

The execution of this project took place over three weekends at the end of February into March 2022. Over a dozen Scouts as well as multiple adult leaders within the troop contributed to the project.

Completion

Project Completion

Work to complete the planter box project wrapped up with the third and final workday on March 19, 2022. On May 2, 2022, with the passage of my Eagle Scout Board of Review, I was formally awarded the rank of Eagle Scout.
